At first thought you might think that wearing beach volleyball sand socks is only for the weak, but trust me sometimes the sand is way too hot or way too cold to bear without some sandsocks to protect your feet. The official name for this foot wear is beach volleyball socks and the 2 main brands that make them are sandsocks by Vincere and Sandskins. I am in the process of trying each brand out to see if there is a clear winner with comfortability and function or if they are practically the same thing at slightly different prices. I will let you know once I have had the opportunity to test them.
Vincere’s Sand Sock
Some difference between the two brands of beach socks that I have noticed are that Vincere Sand socks have more colors to choose from. They have bright hot pink, white, black, tan (flesh colored), red lightning and blue lightning sand socks. They were around as the first beach sock on the market but now they have a competitor in the SandSkin’s company.
SandSkin’s Beach Sock
Sand Skins (still not sure if it’s one word, sandskins, or 2) has 3 colors to chose from which are black, white and light powder pink. I would imagine that light pink would be more popular among women and I would guess that not many people would buy the white ones because they would get dirty pretty quickly.
So I think they have a pretty good competition going on between Vincere and SandSkins but it would be wise to carry some that socks that match bathing suits. Just a thought. They are also known as sand soccer socks to the non volleyball players that happened to end up on the site.
If you are wanting to know where to buy sand socks or beach volleyball socks, you will find them on this site once I determine which brand I like the best.
