Sand Volleyball Net Height and Court Dimensions
Beach volleyball net height is the same as it is for indoor.
Men’s Net height= 7′ 11 5/8″
Women’s Net height= 7′ 4 1/8″
The net height is measured at the middle of the court from the top of smoothly raked sand.
The sand volleyball court dimensions are smaller than indoor measurements for volleyball by 1 meter on each side of the net for both the length and the width of the court. Just like indoor, the volleyball court size is the same for men and women.
Indoor volleyball court dimension= 9 Meters X 18 Meters
Beach volleyball court dimension= 8 Meters X 16 Meters
*1 Meter=3.28 feet
**All outdoor volleyball where there are less than 4 people playing should be played on the smaller court. The AVP once played on the large indoor court size but changed to the smaller size in 2001. This allows two people to cover the whole court and makes for longer rallies.
