Volleyball Drills-Increase Vertical Jumping
Some of the best volleyball drills you will do will include exercises to jump higher. Volleyball training must include plyometric workouts if you are ever going to learn how to jump higher. In order to increase vertical jumping has to be combined with leg strengthening exercises to produce the best results. Volleyball puts so much emphasis on jumping that you won’t be a great volleyball player until you learn to jump higher. Learning how to play volleyball isn’t only dependent on your volleyball skills you have to train harder than your competition in order to increase your vertical leap to be bigger than theirs.

To learn how to spike a volleyball you have to be able to jump high enough for your arm to get above the volleyball net. Don’t think that you can’t increase your jumping ability because with the right jumping program you can increase your hops dramatically. Jump training for volleyball should be lower reps because you want to train your muscles to jump higher and not only for a longer period of time. Some programs will have you do hundreds of repetitions for each exercise and this only training your endurance. The highest vertical jump in the world will not be attained training like this.
